Story
On the surface, this is a biography of an accomplished seeker who mastered the practices of yoga and brought a system for understanding the mysteries of body, mind, and spirit to students in the West. But, like the life of Swami Rama, this audiobook offers more than a sequence of astonishing events. As you read the stories of authentic guru-disciple relationships Swami Rama had both with his master and with his own students, you will see how the spiritual wisdom is transmitted through generations. This book also serves as a guide to advanced practices of yoga and tantra not commonly understood in modern times.

Story
The author Sri "M" is an extraordinary individual. His uniqueness lies not only in the fact that at the young age of 19 and a half, he travelled to snow-clad Himalayas from Kerala, and there he met and lived for several years with a "real-time" yogi, Babaji, but also that he should undertake such an unusual and adventurous exploration, given his non-Hindu birth and antecedents. The metamorphosis of Mumtaz Ali Khan into Sri "M", a yogi with profound knowledge of the Upanishads and deep personal insights, is born of first-hand experiences with higher levels of consciousness....

When one wants to know the path followed by sages
This isn’t an ordinary book. It’s not a “how to “ or other type of generic self help book. It’s a rare narration of a journey of a human being. It has to be listened to, to understand oneself and our purpose in this universe. The language is simple and the narration eloquent. It’s a book to read and listen to more than once.

Must Read for a Serious Seeker
This book is a must read for a serious seeker on the long path of spirituality.
It is up there with publications such as, Autobiography of a Yogi by Swami Yogananda Paramahansa and Apprenticed to a Himalayan Master : A Yogi's Autobiography by Sri M.
Though easy to listen and lucidly narrated, for the casual reader, it might be a bit heavy in substance and even unbelievable in events.
